In a Democracy, especially one with only two choices, attacking voters because they chose not to vote for you ...

Is beyond stupid.

Yet Democrats persist in blaming voters… especially Bernie voters.

Trump didn't get elected because voters didn't do their job. He won because Democrats didn't do THEIRS.

Trump got to be president because Democrats were asleep at the switch for some DECADES.

Especially when they had control of Congress & the presidency.

They allowed Republicans to gerrymander districts & suppress votes.

Sure they whined about it, but did nothing... Since the 2000 census! Most likely because they didn't want to rock the boat in their own states.

Democrats did nothing to insure the integrity of the voting booth... even tho alarm bells have been going off for decades that election results looked suspucious. Particularly during primaries. Again, most likely to not rock the boat in their own incumbent elections.

(An aside, I'm pretty damn sure Democrats faked Chicago election results to elect Kennedy. Nixon, of ALL people, was a gentleman and didn't contest the election. Humbling, that.)

Democrats, since Bill Clinton, CHOSE to not even campaign in states they decided they would lose anyway. A failed strategy challenged as far back as Howard Dean. So Republicans focused on small states, with an electoral college advantage... Allowing Trump to LOSE the election, and still become President.

Democrats busted up their FDR/Kennedy coalition by attacking first unions (under Kennedy) then anyone on the left since Bill Clinton.

Democrats began attacking social services under Clinton... And largely continued. Obamacare is a nightmare largely benefitting insurance companies & the medical pharmaceutical complex.

Democrats did nothing to end endless wars... Actually accelerating them under Obama.

Democrats did nothing to address wealth inequality, probably to keep corporate and oligarch donations rolling in.

Democrats did nothing to stop Citizens United. So now any billionaire can buy the presidency & the nomination.

And Democrats lost 2016 by nominating a lousy candidate in Hillary, who promised absolutely nothing to address the real problems of the US... Healthcare, climate, war, economics...

She rather preferred attacking a large segment of the Democratic base... And condescending to Republicans, Independents, pretty much everybody else.

And she ran a sh**ty campaign that focused on the wrong states, so stupidly that she WON the popular vote... In the wrong states.
