Filling a hole
Where my heart bleeds out
With deeds undone
And creeds without soul…

Dante picked La Vita Nova
Love his screed
In his hour of need
In that Dark Wood.

Tax Man Matt
Claimed in 4 point 1
Devil bet Jesus
He’d make Him rich
Now Pastors preach
That same tired pitch
A bet, I’d say
That damned snake won.

Twain mighta said
Can’t step in the same
Mississippi twice…
Been dipped in the
Big Muddy 4 times
I finally heard a Voice
“Life’s choices.”
